Health Desk: The Population Services and Training Center (PSTC) is proud to announce its official affiliation as a Member Association (MA) of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), a significant milestone in its mission to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Bangladesh.
The formal endorsement came during the IPPF Board Meeting on 20 June 2025 in London, following the earlier approval by the Federation’s Membership Committee. The official confirmation letter, issued by IPPF Director General Dr. Alvaro Bermejo, was addressed to PSTC’s Governing Body Chairperson, Ms. Sanjeeda Islam.
“This recognition affirms our commitment to rights-based, inclusive, and quality SRHR services,” said Dr. Noor Mohammad, Executive Director of PSTC. “In just 21 months, we’ve moved from collaboration to membership—a journey driven by shared vision, accountability, and the tireless efforts of our team.”

Becoming an IPPF Member Association positions PSTC within one of the world’s most influential SRHR networks, expanding its access to global knowledge, technical expertise, and advocacy platforms.
PSTC extends heartfelt thanks to IPPF’s Global and South Asia Regional Offices for their guidance, and acknowledges the strong leadership of its Governing Body and the dedication of all staff in achieving this milestone.
As PSTC moves forward with its 2025–2030 strategy, aligned with IPPF Strategy 2028, it remains committed to innovation, equity, and impact—serving communities across Bangladesh with renewed energy and global solidarity.
