Online Desk: Population Services and Training Center (PSTC) recently held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), bringing together board members, general members and the PSTC Top Management Team to review the organization’s achievements over the past year and outline strategic priorities for the future.
The meeting commenced with a welcome address by PSTC Chairperson, Ms. Sanjeeda Islam, who expressed her gratitude to all members for their unwavering support and dedication. Dr. Noor Mohammad, Executive Director of PSTC, presented the annual report, highlighting key milestones, programmatic achievements, and financial transparency.
“This year has been transformative for PSTC as we continue to address pressing issues related to sexual and reproductive health, education, and climate resilience for marginalized communities,” said Dr. Mohammad.
The meeting also recorded the suggestions made by the immediate past Chair, Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Treasurer Md. Badrul Munir and Strategic Lead Wahiduzzaman Chowdhury on PSTC’s commitment to transparency, person-centered care and continuous innovation towards addressing the changes.
A key highlight of the AGM was the decision to include Youth in Governance of the organization, underscoring PSTC’s commitment to empowering young voices. This initiative aims to integrate youth perspectives into decision-making processes, ensuring that future strategies align with the needs and aspirations of younger generations.
The AGM also included a discussion on PSTC’s upcoming 6-year strategy, emphasizing innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability in its approach. Key resolutions were passed to strengthen partnerships and expand initiatives aimed at empowering youth, women, and other vulnerable groups.
Special recognition was given to outstanding contributors, and the event concluded with a collective pledge to uphold PSTC’s mission of promoting equitable access to health, ensuring quality services and rights for all.
