MM Rahmatullah: Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad said Hajj agencies will be rewarded for serving pilgrims well, but will face punishment for causing them hardship. Speaking at a discussion, Doa and Iftar mahfil organized by the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) at Police Convention Hall, Ramna, he called pilgrims “guests of Allah” and urged agencies to treat them with utmost care and integrity.
He emphasized that Iftar is a divine command to be observed on time. “As a khadem, I will strive to serve for Allah’s pleasure, not merely for anyone’s satisfaction,” he added, noting that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s mandate will be fulfilled with that intent.
Special guest Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam (Rita) joined via video call. The event was chaired by HAAB President Syed Golam Sarwar, with speeches from Acting Secretary of the Religious Ministry Md. Ayatul Islam and HAAB Secretary General Farid Ahmed Majumder.
More than five hundred Hajj agencies’ owners and their representatives attended the Iftar event, where lots of media personnel also presented at the moment.
