Dinajpur Correspondent: A discussion meeting and Iftar gathering of the Amar Bangladesh (AB) Jubo Party, Dinajpur District, was held on Saturday at the local Ranishang Government College Ground in the Ghoraghat Upazila.
Upazila Convenor Mehedi Hasan presided over the event, while the Secretary of the Committee, Soharab Hossain conducted. Shahadatullah Tutul, Joint General Secretary of AB Party and Convenor of the AB Jubo Party was present as Chief Guest. Shahidul Islam, District AB Party Convenor and Central Religious Affairs Secretary, Shahinur Rahman, Senior Joint Convenor of the District, Golam Sorrowar, Joint Convenor of the District, Amanullah Sorkar Russel, Convenor of the District Youth Party and Central Office Secretary were present as special guests.
Shahadatullah Tutul stated, “Under fascist rule, the quick trial of the killing of 57 army officers in Pilkhana, the killing of Hefazat’s scholars on May 5, the 16 years of abductions and murders, and the recent July Revolution genocide must be completed swiftly.” Referring to a Facebook post by a coordinator, he said, “A group of people is working to rehabilitate the fascist Awami League. At the same time, the main political parties are creating confusion in the same manner.” He further said, “Political parties must understand the mindset of the students and youth. Those who fail to comprehend the spirit of the revolution will become irrelevant in post-revolution politics.” He emphasized that there will be no tolerance for discussions other than the trial of the country’s looting fascists, who are responsible for the country’s resource embezzlement.
The youth of this country have been used for political parties’ muscle power and extortion. The government must show more sincerity with a separate action plan for the moral and professional development of the youth community, Tutul added.
In his speech, Special Guest Principal Shahidul Islam said, “AB Party engages in politics based on equality, human dignity, and social justice. The goal of AB Party is to bring qualitative change in politics and establish a welfare-oriented state.” He urged the youth to join the Youth Party.
Other attendees at the discussion included Abdul Mannan, Convenor of the Ghoraghat Upazila branch of the Nagarik Party, Saidur Rahman Suman, Senior Joint Convenor of the District Youth Party, Secretary Hadesur Rahman, Ghoraghat AB Party Coordinator Jalal Uddin, Rabiu Islam, Convenor of the Nawabganj Upazila Youth Party, Organizing Secretary Abdus Rahim, Abu Raihan, Sports and Cultural Secretary of the District Youth Party, Publicity Secretary Anisur Rahman, and union leaders.
