Staff Correspondent: Youth are the driving force of social change. Throughout every era in history, it has been the shoulders of the youth upon which civilizations have progressed. One such visionary and humanitarian initiative formally began its journey on May 30, 2021, in the library room of Baliatali Chargachhia Dakhil Madrasa, located in South Baliatali village of Amtali Upazila in Barguna district, under the Arpangashia Union. The name of this organisation is “Raktim Bandhan Bahumukhi Foundation.”

The organization emerged with a purely non-political basis, focusing solely on the welfare of humanity. At its inception, around 25 enthusiastic young men gathered under the leadership of the foundation’s founding president, Khwaja Masum Bellah Kausarey—the worthy descendant of the 18th-century spiritual saints and Islamic preachers Khwaja Faiz Uddin (R) and Khwaja Naser Ali (R).

Notable among the attendees were Ataullah Mohona, Ayman Ahmed Al-Amin, Mohammad Al-Amin, Mohammad Musa, Sharif Mohibullah, and many other inspired youths from neighboring villages.

Their objective was to establish a voluntary platform where everyone could work together for social transformation—free from any political affiliation.

From the very beginning, the foundation has earned widespread appreciation by organizing voluntary blood donation campaigns across various districts and sub-districts of southern Bangladesh. Members of the organization spontaneously step forward to donate blood whenever patients—especially the sick, the underprivileged, or those in remote areas—are in need.

However, their activities are not limited to blood donation. The foundation actively conducts awareness campaigns, moral education workshops, anti-child marriage drives, tree plantation for environmental conservation, and anti-drug campaigns in various communities.

Particularly, to engage the youth in constructive endeavors, Raktim Bandhan regularly organizes cultural programs, quiz competitions, Islamic cultural events, workshops, and social development seminars. Through these initiatives, young people are becoming more socially conscious, confident, and capable of assuming leadership roles.

The motto of the organization—“We who walk in the path of light, will walk hand in hand with all”—is not just a slogan. Rather, it reflects a deep sense of social responsibility that sows the seeds of humanity and patriotism in the minds of today’s youth.

Explaining the activities and vision of the foundation, Khwaja Masum Bellah Kausarey said-

“Our goal is to help people from all walks of life, especially those who are marginalized. We want Raktim Bandhan to become a beacon of light from which love, justice, equality, compassion, and awareness will radiate across society.”

With such a vision, Raktim Bandhan Bahumukhi Foundation has already transformed into a promising social organization. In just a few short years, its positive impact has reached many villages and families across the southern region of the country.

If this momentum continues, there is no doubt that this foundation will one day stand as a unique example of social service on the national level.
