BSS, DHAKA: Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today said that religious leaders have a significant role in maintaining religious harmony.
“Bangladesh is a country of religious harmony. Buddhist religious leaders are playing significant role in maintaining this harmony,” she said.
The Speaker was addressing the ‘Shubho Kathin Chibor Dan and National Buddhist Grand Conference-2023’ organized by the Bangladesh Buddhist Federation at the International Buddhist Monastery in the capital as the chief guest, a press release said.
She also unveiled the ‘Dipankar’ commemorative book published on the occasion of ‘Shubho Kathin Chibor Dan and National Buddhist Grand Conference-2023’.
Several Buddhist and international dignitaries including Ambassador of France to Bangladesh Marie Masdupuy were present as special guests, among others, on the occasion.
