Mijan Akanda, Phulpur: To commemorate Shaheed Abu Sayeed, who died in the anti-discrimination quota movement, the road from Kulirkanda village to Dakshin Singheshwar in Sinheshwar Union of Phulpur Upazila of Mymensingh has been renamed as “Shaheed Abu Saeed Road”. On Thursday, in the presence of locals, a new name sign board was put up on the road. At this time, President of Kulirkanda Lions Power Sporting Club and student leader Hasanuzzaman Mukta said that the name of the road has been given based on the opinion of villagers and local students to keep the memory of martyr brother Abu Sayeed alive.
