Moon Desk: A Rohingya youth was shot to death by miscreants at Ukhiya upazila in Cox’s Bazar district on Friday evening.
The incident took place at around 6.30pm in Jamtoli Rohingya Camp no-15 in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Dil Mohammad, 28, son of Abul Hashim, a resident of the aforesaid camp.
Quoting the locals, Ukhiya Police Station officer-in-charge Shamim Hossain said a group of 10-12 masked miscreants attacked Dil Mohammad on a road of Block-E in the camp and fired bullets on him.
He was rescued and taken to MSF Hospital in the camp where the doctors declared him dead.
Later, the body was recovered from the hospital and sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, said the OC.
The legal action would be taken in this regard, added the OC.
