MA Mannan, Bhola: Shops, under construction on canals in Moniram Bazar of Borhanuddin, Bhola, have been evicted.
Yesterday (June 28), under the leadership of Upazila Executive Officer Raihan-Uzzaman, the under-construction shop activities were stopped and bonds were taken. This time, awareness was made about the mandatory provisions of jail fines as per the Land Crime Prevention and Remedies Act 2023.
“Under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Azad Jahan, the construction work of shops on canals were stopped and bonds were taken, Raihanuzzaman added in this context.
At this time, shop owners were instructed to submit land documents as they claimed it privately owned land. If necessary, government interests will be protected by measuring it with a surveyor, he said.
This campaign was conducted with the cooperation of Borhanuddin Police Station. Raihanuzzaman warned that such campaigns will continue by the Upazila administration in the public interest.
