Magura Correspondent: The president of Sreepur Reporters Unity of Sripur Union of Magura  Sreepur Upazila and a popular member of the union, Md. Sirajul Islam Token’s residence and office of Reporters Unity attacked and looting by miscreants.

It is known that on Friday, in a simultaneous attack across the country, on August 5 at 4:30 pm, 2-3 hundred miscreants ganged up and ransacked, attacked, set fire to Token’s house and ransacked. According to confidential sources, Chunnu of the area, Salim of Goalpara, villagers and people from other villages were present during the attack by miscreants and they also took part in the vandalism and looting, which was seen in the CCTV video footage. About 100 maunds of onions were looted from the warehouse; the loss of all the goods was about 50 lakhs.

Ahmed Sajjad, a 4th year (Honours) student of Magura Govt Hossain Shaheed Suhrawardy College, who came from the Magura district branch of the anti-discrimination student movement coordinators, said that we visited several places of occurrence and those who have committed this extremely unjust and criminal act will be severely punished and punished under the law. We made this country independent in exchange of many hardships and sacrifices. Where there is injustice, the student society will stand up. We are talking to the law enforcement agencies to ensure that there is no further violence and that these affected families are not intimidated and that they can live freely and impartially. Naeem Mahmud, a student of Bangladesh Studies Department of Chittagong University of Magura district branch of anti-discrimination movement, Parvez Ahmed, a student of Chemistry Department of Faridpur Rajendra College, Safiur Rahman, an intermediate 1st year student of Magura Hossain Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Mehdi Hasan, a 1st year degree student of Sripur GK Ideal College, were present. Sripur Government College Honors 2nd year student of History of Islam Tamjid Sheikh, Taufiq Sheikh and others.
