Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed said steps will be taken if any new organization is formed using BNP’s name.
He said this in a press conference at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in the capital this afternoon.
Rizvi said apart from recognized associate bodies of the BNP, there is pro-BNP professional bodies for teachers, physicians’ organization DAB, engineers and agriculturists’ body AAB, Bangladesh Sammilita Peshajibi Parishad and medical technologists’ association.
Besides these organizations, if any new organization is formed in the name of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and in the name of Jatiyatabadi, steps will be taken against it, he said.
Steps will also be taken if anyone of BNP joins any programme of such kind of baseless organization, he added.
Rizvi said the students-people toppled fascist Sheikh Hasina through a groundbreaking movement.
He urged the government to take effective measures to eliminate market syndicates to reduce price of essentials.
The BNP leader recalled that martyred President Ziaur Rahman brought self-reliance in food in the country which once faced famine.
If the market syndicates cannot be broken, low income group people and working class people will suffer a lot, he mentioned.
BNP Chairperson’s Adviser Abdus Salam, Joint Secretary General Advocate Abdus Salam Azad, BNP’s voluntary affairs secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Sapu, agriculturist Shamimur Rahman Shamim, assistant organizing secretary Abdul Khaleq, assistant publicity secretary Asadul Karim Shahin, executive committee member Abdus Sattar Patwari were present, among others, in the press conference.
