The concept of a new Bangladesh free from fascism after August 5, which has been discussed for the past four years by the AB Party, was mentioned. Journalist leader and Managing Director of Bangladesh Journalist Welfare Trust M. Abdullah stated that the government must work with the spirit of this new Bangladesh. He made this remark as the chief guest at the 8th day of the ongoing mass Iftar program organized by the Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party). The event was chaired by the party’s Senior Vice Chairman, Professor Dr. Major (Retd.) Abdul Wahab Minar, and conducted by Joint Secretary Anwar Sadat Tutul and Anwar Faruk, Joint Convenor of Dhaka City South also present at the event.
M. Abdullah said, “I am here today to witness a remarkable event. Looking at the faces of the people, it seems that most of them are working-class, laboring people. When we attend Iftar programs of different political parties, we see a particular type of politics, but here, we see a new kind of politics. This is the politics of service and problem-solving by the AB Party.” He further emphasized that organizing such a mass Iftar for the underprivileged people is a huge challenge and urged the government to work with an understanding of the common people’s feelings in the new Bangladesh.

In his address, the party’s Senior Vice Chairman, Professor Dr. Abdul Wahab Minar, said, “The disparity between the rich and the poor in our country is something we do not want. Even after 53 years of independence, people are still scavenging food from leftovers, and we do not want to see this.” He added that the AB Party is working to restore dignity and establish the rights of the people.
He also demanded the swift prosecution of the child rapists, stating that such heinous acts cannot be tolerated while the army is in the field.

The mass Iftar event was attended by other notable figures, including AB Party’s Joint Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun Rana, ABM Khalid Hasan, Secretary of AB Jubo Party Hadiuzzaman Khokon, Convenor of Student Wing Muhammad Prince, Assistant Secretary for Voluntary Services and Public Welfare Tofazzal Hossain Romiz, Kefaayet Hossain Tanveer, AB Jubo Party’s Office Secretary Amanullah Sarkar Russell, Assistant Secretary for Women’s Development Shahinur Akter Shila, Assistant Office Secretary Abdul Halim Nannu, Shoron Chowdhury, Assistant Finance Secretary Abu Bakkar Siddique, Assistant Publicity Secretary Ripon Mahmud, Azadul Islam Azad, Paltan Thana Convenor Munshi Abdul Kader, Jatrabari Thana Convenor Arif Sultan, along with central, Cities, Jubo party, and student wing leaders from various levels also present.
