Moon Desk: Quantum Foundation, a voluntary blood donor organization, on Monday honored a total of 300 voluntary blood donors who have donated blood multiple times in their lifetime.
Md Khalilur Rahman Secretary of Land Ministry was present as the chief guest at the voluntary blood donor awarding ceremony organized by Quantum Foundation at Institute of Diploma Engineers (IDEB) Auditorium in Kakrail of the capital.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “For the dream we seeing to build a Smart, Developed Sonar Bangla, we need selfless people like you who have donated blood willingly without any expectation”.
Quantum Foundation Chief Coordinator Nahar Al Bokhari presided over the function while M Rezaul Hasan, Director of Quantum Foundation delivered welcome address.
The volunteers donating blood at least 50 times received awards in the platinum category, those donating 25 times were honoured in the golden category, 10-time donors in the silver category and three-time donors in lifelong honor category.
On behalf of the volunteer donors Journalist Md. Mahamudujjaman, who has donated blood 51 times expressed his feelings and Thalassemia patient Sabikun Nahar Ashpia expressed gratitude on behalf of regular blood recipients.
