Special Correspondent: Several youth gang members including Mustafizur Rahman Parvez, Bahadur and Sagar, the supporter of the Kishore gang, attacked Bangla TV reporter Marjan Parvez as he broadcasted serial news on Bangla TV about auto rickshaw extortion and juvenile gangs in different areas of Mirpur in the capital. In this incident, Parvez filed a case against the attackers at the capital’s Pallabi police station on June 15. Case number (25).
To withdraw that case, the younger brother of alleged top terrorist Shahadat Bahini has been calling and threatening to disappear journalist Parvez and his family members for the past few days.
He made a general diary at Pallabi police station on July 7 regarding this threat. GD number (528). Leaders of various journalist organizations and media workers have expressed concern over the attack and death threats.
They also demanded that all youth gangs and their supporters involved in the attack, including the threats, be brought under the law and punished.
In this regard, the journalist said, the accused can do great harm to him and my family members at any time through the members of the terrorist witness. Therefore, the victim journalist requested the attention of the law enforcement agencies.
SI Abdul Azad, investigating officer of Pallabi Police Station, said that GD has been done in this incident. Investigation is ongoing.
