Special Correspondent: The gap between the rich and the poor in our country is unacceptable. Some are wasting food, while others are scavenging for discarded food. This should not be the case. Even after 53 years of independence, such economic inequality cannot be tolerated. My Bangladesh Party is working towards establishing politics based on equality, human dignity, and social justice. Many people present here are recognized as homeless. In the dream and vision for which Bangladesh was liberated, no one was supposed to be identified as homeless. AB Party is fighting to restore your identity, said Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Managing Director of Descent Trade International, the chief guest at the event.
Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party organized the 22nd day of the ongoing public Iftar on Sunday. Party’s Joint General Secretary Altaf Hossain presided over the event. The event was featured speeches from agricultural entrepreneur Abul Hossain Milan. Joint Convener of Dhaka South City, Abdul Halim Khokon, Joint Member Secretary Barkaz Nasir Ahmed, Polton Thana Convener Abdul Kader Munshi, and Jatrabari Thana Convener Arif Sultan were delivered the speeches among the AB Party leaders.
Party’s Joint General Secretary Altaf Hossain said in his speech “Since the independence of 1971, every ruler who has governed the country has turned Bangladesh into a haven for corruption. Through the July Revolution, we have had the opportunity to reshape the entire country. We must utilize this opportunity. We will not hand over the country to any thief or fraudster. Corruption, like a cancer, has destroyed every institution of the state. In the upcoming elections, we must show corrupt individuals a red card. The people of Bengal must remain vigilant to ensure that no corrupt person comes to power again. For the past 16 years, we have been under the rule of a tyrant. How many people did the tyrant Hasina cause to disappear or kill? The number of people imprisoned in the dark cells is still unknown. Even after shooting from helicopters during the July mass uprising, Hasina could not prevent her downfall. She fled Bangladesh and now behaves like a psychopath from India. The Awami League has no right to engage in politics in this country. The people of this land forced Hasina to flee.”
AB Party’s Assistant Secretary for Volunteer Services and Public Welfare, Tofazzal Hossain Romij, Kefaayat Hossain Tanveer, Assistant Secretary for Propaganda Ripon Mahmood, Azadul Islam Azad, Assistant Secretary for the Office, Shoron Chowdhury, Abdul Halim Nannu, and leaders from various levels of the city area also present in the event.
