Md Mafidul Islam Sarkar: In a world where recognition often follows visibility, Zinnat Ara Ifa stands apart—working tirelessly behind the scenes to uplift the helpless and bring meaningful change to society. Born on January 13 in the village of Madhyapara in Kishoreganj, her life story is one of resilience, intellect, creativity, and above all, compassion.
A dynamic young entrepreneur and the director of Million Group, Ifa has successfully combined professional excellence with a deep commitment to humanitarian service. Her vision took a concrete form in 2021 with the founding of the Great Heart Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving humanity across borders. Through this platform, she has initiated and supported a wide range of social welfare programs, quietly impacting countless lives.
Her humanitarian efforts are both diverse and impactful. From organizing annual tree plantation campaigns to combat climate change, to providing medical assistance discreetly to those in need, her work reflects both empathy and strategy. The foundation also focuses on livelihood development through animal husbandry programs, distributes clothing during Eid, and ensures access to clean water in madrasas through infrastructure support.
During global crises, Ifa’s compassion transcends national boundaries. Following the devastating earthquake in Turkey in 2023, the Great Heart Foundation sent essential supplies—including food, hygiene products, and children’s nutrition items—through international collaboration. She has also extended support for humanitarian causes in Palestine and provided relief during floods in Bangladesh.
Education and empowerment remain central to her mission. She has taken initiatives to support orphaned and underprivileged students by covering their educational expenses, while also offering free sewing training to disadvantaged women and teenage girls—helping them build self-reliance. Her foundation actively works with autistic and disabled children, ensuring inclusivity in development efforts.
Beyond her humanitarian work, Zinnat Ara Ifa is a distinguished literary voice. A poet, writer, and columnist, she seeks to challenge societal prejudices and inspire change through her words. Her first poetry book, “Hridoy Vanggar Shobdo,” was published at the 2023 Ekushey Book Fair, marking her formal entry into the literary world. Her second book, “Jayetu,” further reflects her creative depth and philosophical outlook.
Her academic journey is equally remarkable. After completing her schooling at Madhyapara Di-Mukhi High School and college at Katiadi Government College, she pursued higher education with unwavering dedication. She earned an M.A. in English from Uttara University, followed by an M.S.S. in Political Science from Dhaka University. Demonstrating her passion for continuous learning, she also completed an LL.B. from the National University and continues to expand her intellectual horizons.
From a young age, Ifa has been driven by a profound love for her country, its people, and its cultural heritage. Her writings often echo themes of freedom, humanity, and social justice. Despite her growing influence, she has chosen humility—preferring to let her work speak louder than her presence.
Zinnat Ara Ifa is not just a name; she is a movement of silent change. Through her unwavering dedication, she exemplifies how one individual, working selflessly and without seeking the spotlight, can create ripples of hope and transformation across society.
