Moon Desk : Three fishermen have sustained burn injuries after a gas cylinder exploded at a fishing trawler in an estuary of the Meghna River.
The incident took place near Char Nizam area at Char Fasson upazila in Bhola district around 9:00 pm, Sunday.
The injured are Nur Alam, son of Mozir Uddin, Md Manju, son of Nasir Majhi, and Habib Ullah, son of Rustum Ali. They are the residents of Char Nizam village under Dhalchar union in the upazila.
Fishermen of the trawler said a gas cylinder suddenly exploded when they were cooking dinner at its kitchen, leaving three of them burnt.
They were rescued and taken to Charfasson Upazila Health Complex for treatment where Nur Alam in a critical condition, said Dhalchar UP chairman Abdus Salam Hawlader.
Dakshin Aicha Police Station officer in-charge Md Sakhawat Hossain said police were yet to be informed, however, they would inspect over the matter.
