BSS, DHAKA: At least three people were killed in the Benapole Express train fire incident in the capital’s Gopibagh area occurred tonight.

The fire is under control as seven units of fire service worked to douse the blaze.

The fire service and civil defense received information about the incident at 9:05 p.m.
Later, they reached the spot at 9:25 and started working to control the fire.

However, the identities of the deceased and cause of the fire are yet to be ascertained.

Deputy Director of Fire Service and Civil Defence Shahjahan Shikder told BSS that being informed two units of the fire service initially rushed to the Gopibagh area of Kamalapur.

The fire came under control at 10:20 pm. The fire spread in four compartments of the train, he said.
