Md. Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: BNP leaders and activists are fleeing from Mymensingh’s Phulpur fearing arrest. It is known that the police filed a case against more than 200 BNP leaders and activists for attacking the police on September 1. In that case, 140/150 unknown people have been named as defendants including 73 BNP leaders and activists including 12 family members of former UP Chairman AKM Tofazzal Haque. The Thana police have already arrested several people, including BNP leader Kazim Uddin, who is accused in the case. Besides, in another police case, Mohibul Haque Tutul, Member Secretary of Mymensingh North District Sechsevak Dal, Organizing Secretary of District Chhatra Dal (of Phulpur) has been arrested from Mymensingh Sadar. The accused accused in the case are taking shelter from lawyers in the hope of getting bail from the court. However, unknown accused are absconding fearing arrest.
