Diplomatic Correspondent: Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh Heru Hartanto Subolo has paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud at the foreign minister’s office on Monday.
The Indonesian ambassador and the foreign minister exchanged views on mutual interests and pledged to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly largest Muslim countries in the meeting.
Meanwhile, International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission Head Abdusattor Esoev also paid the call on at the foreign minister’s office after some time. At the meeting with the IOM mission head, Dr Hasan said quick repatriation of the forcibly Myanmar citizens is the only solution to the Rohingya crisis.
He drew attention of the IOM to the issue of climate migrants or those displaced by the effects of climate change.
The IOM mission chief assured that their efforts regarding the matters will continue, and informed a press release from the ministry of foreign affairs.
