MM Rahmatullah: Jamson Mahbub of Ekattor TV and Shafi Uddin Ahmed of Asian TV were elected president and general secretary of the Reporters Against Corruption-RAC, an organisation of journalists working with the Anti-Corruption Commission, respectively.

On Tuesday afternoon, the members of the organisation elected the new leaders for one year through the annual general meeting and voting at a restaurant at Segunbagicha in Dhaka. Out of 93 voters, 79 exercised their right to vote.

Mahbub Saikat, senior reporter of My TV, was elected as vice-president of the organisation while Rabbi Siddiqui, senior reporter of Jamuna Television, was elected as joint general secretary. Besides, Syed Riyad of Pratidiner Bangladesh was elected as organizing secretary.

Elected others office bearers are- treasurer Taslimul Alam Tawhid, office secretary Ali Talukder, publicity and publication secretary Maruf Kibria, training and research secretary Atika Rahman and culture and sports secretary Fazlur Rahman.

NTV’s special correspondent Safiq Shahin, daily Ajkaler Khabar’s Saiful Islam Montu, UNB’s Muhammad Jahangir Alam and dainik Nabaraj’s Rafiq Uzzaman won the post of executive members apart from this.
