Md. Ashraful Alam Mondal, Gazipur: A street meeting of Kazi Alimuddin Buddhin, an independent candidate for the truck marker of Gazipur-2 seat in the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections, was held in Uttarkhailkur Battala area (in front of Mandal house) of Ward No. 33 under Gacha police station of Gazipur metropolis.
The street meeting held on Monday at 9 pm under the chairmanship of local ward councilor Alhaj Mizanur Rahman should be transformed into a public meeting. Candidate Kazi Alimuddin Buddin said, people in Gazipur have become aware today, they have learned to understand that Gazipur will develop if they vote for them. Those who have become MPs and ministers in the past have done nothing for the development of this area, rather they have conspired to disrupt the development.
Talking about the conspiracy, he said, in 2009, Awami League gave me permission to elect upazila chairman. I was continuing the election work with leaders and workers of all levels, in the middle of the election; you elected another Awami League leader as a rebel candidate and elected Shahanshah Alam of BNP as upazila chairman.
He also said that Jahangir, who changed the face of Gazipur by developing it in 3 years as mayor, you conspired and removed Jahangir from the path of mayor. Due to your conspiracy, people in Gazipur have been deprived of development. An irreparable loss has been caused to the people of the city due to this conspiracy. Therefore, I have become a candidate in this parliamentary election to bring back the continuity of development to those deprived people. If the people of Gazipur vote for me on January 7; then I will give Gazipur-2 constituency a seat free from terrorism, drugs and extortion, Insha–Allah.
Former mayor of Gazipur City Corporation and current mayor’s advisor Alhaj Advocate Jahangir Alam, 33rd ward Awami League joint convener Anwar Hossain MA, Awami League leader Abdul Quader, former councilor Zillur Rahman Mukul, brave freedom fighter Abdur Razzak Master, Musharraf Hussain Khan, Nurul Islam Nuru, Shariful Islam Khokon, Ariful Haque Rocky, Rubel Khan Montu, Haji Shawon, Humayun Kabir, Morshed Alam, Abdul Latif and others were present in this event.
