MOON Desk: Experience working as anchor and newsroom editor, Tania Afrin joined Deepta TV in September 2020 as a presenter and is currently working in the same channel. Besides, since 2019, she has been working as a voice artist in two production houses: Platform Media and Sound Printer. Their productions were aired on Sheherzad Farhad and Bluewheel-SA TV and the serial Jannat was aired on Asian TV. What qualities does a presenter need to have? In response to the question, Afrin said – A presenter must have the ability to speak fluently, speak fluently, and have clear pronunciation and above all the ability to create a permanent position in the hearts of the audience. How does it feel to have made a position for you by struggling for a long time in the TV media? At first I made many mistakes while working and I learned from these mistakes. When my works are publicized, appreciated after the publicization, I really like the vision. I can smile a smile of satisfaction, as a result of which, I wake up to do more new things.

Tanya Afrin has already received Sakon Telefilm Award, Bandhan Cultural Award, Swadesh Mrittika Award and South Asian Business Award as Best Presenter for her work. Tanya’s father late Shamchul Haque and mother Rezia Begum were cultural enthusiasts. She did her Honors and Masters from Siddheshwari Girls College. Before that, she completed her HSC from Badda Alatunnecha School and Ispahani Girls’ School. She started practicing recitation while studying in a girls’ school. Tania is very fashionable, she likes sarees for presenting events, she wears 3 pieces, and she also likes western dresses very much. Her favorite food is Fuska, mint leaves and Malta tea. Her favorite flower is belly, black and purple are her favorite colors. In her spare time she reads books and listens to music. Wandering is also her favorite; she likes hilly regions, rainy season, dewy foggy mornings and moments of steamed pies on winter mornings. In terms of social responsibility, she said: There are plans for social work in the country in the future. I want to work with helpless oppressed, underprivileged women and street children. They are willing to help. About the feeling of working in the media Tanya said – I enjoy the presentation work very much. I have been getting support from my family for this journey. Just thinking about it makes me feel proud; I feel a kind of emotional bond with this work. I always look forward to learning new things in new ways.
