BSS, DHAKA: Labour party candidate Tulip Siddiq has been re-elected as a British MP for the fourth consecutive term in the UK general election.
Tulip Siddiq, a granddaughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, contested the polls from the Hampstead and Highgate constituency.
She got 23,432 votes (48.3%) while her nearest opponent Conservative candidate Don Williams, received 8,462 votes (17.4%), according to data from the BBC.
Green Party candidate Lorna Russell received 6,530 votes (13.7 percent) from the constituency.
