Moon Desk: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter Convener, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, has expressed serious concern over the Indian atrocities on the innocent people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad said India has waged a war against the people of occupied Kashmir to suppress their struggle for securing the internationally-recognized right to self-determination. He said the Modi regime has turned the occupied territory into a garrison where Indian troops are committing grave human rights violations to intimidate the Kashmiri people into submission.
The APHC-AJK Convener deplored that Indian soldiers are killing innocent Kashmiris to change the demographic composition of the occupied territory. He said thousands of Kashmiri youth, Hurriyat leaders have been lodged in various jails of India and IIOJK. He maintained that India’s cruel tactics cannot change the basic reality of the Kashmir dispute.
Mehmood Ahmed Saghar appealed to the United Nations to impress upon New Delhi to resolve the Kashmir conflict in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people for ensuring durable peace in South Asia.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad said the people of Kashmir and Palestine have rendered unprecedented sacrifices for freedom from Indian and Israeli occupation which will surely bring positive results soon.
He said due to the criminal silence of the international community, both the aggressor countries are committing the worst brutalities on innocent peoples. He said the peace of the world is constantly in danger due to the unresolved disputes of Kashmir and Palestine.
Uzair Ahmad Ghazali demanded of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take effective measures to resolve both the disputes.
