Moon Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has alleged that the BNP founder Ziaur Rahman had allowed the anti-liberation elements to do politics in the country.

She said the culture of human rights violation began after August 15, 1975. Ziaur Rahman brought the collaborators of Pakistani occupation forces to power. Besides, Ziaur Rahman had framed laws to stop the trial of Bangabandhu killers.

The Prime Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the Fifth National Conference of Swadhinata Chikitshak Forum held at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Friday (November 25, 2022) afternoon.

Hasina observed that power started changing hands through illegal killings, coups and conspiracies after the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members in 1975. “Though the United States have been sheltering Bangabandhu`s killers, they have not shown any concern about the human rights violation in this regard. It is quite surprising.”

The prime minister also vowed to bring the Bangabandhu`s fugitive killers back to the country and put them before court.
